| Description | Duties: • Responsible for developing and maintaining a Contracting and purchasing system enabling the control of all contracting and purchasing activities for the organization, so that the right services and products are sourced at the best price and time. • Analyze the market and delivery systems to assess present and future services and materials availability, develop and implement contract management and purchasing instructions, policies and procedures. • Establish, develop and supervise the implementation of commercial strategies related to contracts and purchasing activities. • Provide commercial expertise to other Divisions / Departments and proactively influence and manage their commercial portfolio. • Supervise all tendering, contracting and purchasing activities to ensure its performance in a cost effective manner, meeting the required specifications, technical requirements and target dates, and ensuring that commercial and legal aspects are covered properly. • Ensure the selection of the most appropriate type of contact to safeguard Company’s interest. | ||
| Skills | • Professional Qualification in Engineering with overall experience not less than 20 years, 5 of which in a management role. • Leadership qualities with ability to motivate and coach others through change. Good communication, negotiation and IT skills. • Specific knowledge of Contract Laws, and international forms of contracts. • Good knowledge of International Engineering and Manufacturing Standard. • Fluent in English, knowledge of Arabic is and advantage. Key Performance Measures • Engineering and Commercial knowledge, Planning and Management capabilities and good computer knowledge. • Leadership, negotiation skills, analytical and articulate, market oriented, inter personal skills, self driven, energetic, creative, sharp & observation skills. | ||
