Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Company is seeking an Instrumentation Engineering Specialist. The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of basic process measurements such as flow, level, temperature, pressure, and process physical property. In addition, the candidate should have strong knowledge of boiler control, process heater control, and process furnace control. The candidate should also be knowledgeable of electrical systems for instrumentation including wiring methods and materials, intrinsic safety and control circuits. Must will review and write corporate engineering standards and material systems specifications. Must will provide high level technical solutions to operations challenges. Must evaluate existing and new suppliers in his areas of expertise. Must perform technical studies in substantive corporate technical issues and prepare and present reports to technical and management personnel. Must be corporate authority on new and emerging technologies in his areas of expertise and will pioneer Saudi Aramco's use of these technologies. Must review mega projects design and proposals.
Skills SELECTION CRITERIA:
BS Electrical/Electronic/Chemical/Process Control Engineering with 10-12 years experience (Advance Degree is preferred with Majors in Control System/Process Control/Electronics). Field experience in the oil, gas or petrochemical industries with wide variety of instrument and control installations is required. This includes selection and installation of field instruments, cables, enclosures, trays, hazardous area installations, and grounding. Specific experience is required in boiler control, process heater control and process furnace control. Must be very knowledgeable with national and international standards, especially ISA, API, NFPA and IEC. Must have excellent written and verbal English skills with experience in developing standards and technical reports. He must be computer literate with advance level of experience in use of office and technical software. Experience with DCS is plus point. Also experience with gas detection, motor operated valve actuators and vibration monitoring system is preferred.
