| Description | 1. Routine operation and monitoring of all chemical treatments in the Production and Gas Plant areas including. 2. Demulsifiers, Corrosion Inhibitor, Biocide injection and Scale Inhibitor Squeeze programs. 3. Liaising with Operations, interpretation of results, preparation of reports and recommendations for remedial measures. 4. Installation, retrieval and monitoring of corrosion coupons & probes including analysis of the results and calculation of corrosion rates etc. 5. Collection and laboratory analysis of water and other samples from production wells, pipelines, separators etc. recording results, preparation and issuing of reports and maintenance of records and files. 6. Organize the procurement of Corrosion Laboratory Consumables, corrosion probes and microbiological testing media etc. | ||
| Skills | 1. Minimum of HND or equivalent in Chemistry but a BSc. in Chemistry would be preferred. 2. A minimum of 10-years experience in Internal Corrosion Monitoring in the Oil & Gas industries is required. 3. Professional membership of the Royal Society of Chemistry or other internationally recognized societies is required. 4. A high standard of written and spoken English is essential. | ||
| Remarks | 1. This is a Desert based position 2. Rotation 6 weeks on 3 weeks off. 3. Annual salary is paid monthly in equal amounts, net of Libyan taxes,OT paid. 4. The employee is responsible for payment of any taxes in his home country. 5. All air tickets (economy fare) to and from nearest home airport are provided for each leave period. 6. Travel days are included in the leave period. 7. In all cases our employees in Libya are provided with accommodation, all food and messing free of charge. | ||
