| Description | Position Purpose: The Senior Commercial Adviser, reporting to the Shaw River Power Station (SRPS) Project Commercial Manager, is responsible for development, negotiation and commercial performance of the required commercial agreements and financial arrangements with interface to within functional areas of the Project and Santos’ finance and business operations. The purpose of the position is to provide a leadership role in the commercial and business aspects of Santos’ gas power generation development and market development opportunities through the application of commercial acumen and business partnerships. Key Accountabilities • Commercial– Support the development of designated power generation projects, including negotiation and execution of relevant commercial agreements. • Business and Market Development – Support the generation, development and implementation of new business opportunities in assigned areas. • Relationship Management – Maintain and further develop current knowledge of assigned markets through development and utilization of professional relationships • Commercial Competency Development - Maintain a high level of commercial competency and contribute to development of commercial acumen by Analysts and Commercial Officers of Commercial • To communicate effectively in individual & group situations, at all levels across Santos, presenting ideas & solutions. • To foster cross functional relationships through recommendations for joint action to achieve mutual goals and by facilitating agreement on responsibilities & support. | ||
| Skills | Essential Qualifications • Tertiary qualifications in economics, commerce, accounting, commercial law or a technical degree supported by relevant analytic, planning, and commercial experience. Required Experience: • Minimum 6 years experience in a commercial environment. • Extensive experience in the resource or energy sector in a marketing & trading, commercial or business development environment involving multi-million dollar business. Minimum 4 years commercial negotiation, energy trading or business development experience in an upstream oil and gas or commodity environment would be highly valued. | ||
