Within the cluster wind energy, Ecofys is looking for a senior consultant or specialist in environmental monitoring for offshore wind energy projects. Job description: The Wind Environmental Monitoring Specialist will have the responsibility for all environmental monitoring during construction of offshore wind projects and for monitoring during the operational phase. Environmental aspects include all flora and fauna, emissions to air, water, soil, and sound. The specialist will design Monitoring programmes according to national standards (Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, UK), including planning and budgeting and involvement of specialist subcontractors. He or she will be responsible for execution of the monitoring programme within time and budget and for adequate reporting to relevant national authorities. This includes aspects such as Your responsibilities include: • Initiate and manage monitoring development plan with relevant authorities • Set up monitoring programme and organization • Reporting • Take part in the recruitment and development of project support staff as required. • Manage relationships with third parties • Ensure satisfactory handover to the customer, i.e. the owner and operator of the project | ||
| Skills | Required Skills/Experience: We are looking for an energetic, creative and enthusiastic senior consultant (m/f). Our ideal candidate combines: • Academic training in environmental management, biology, environmental sciences or equivalent • Experience in environmental monitoring, preferably in offshore environments. • At least 5 years of working experience, proven references in large scale projects. • Excellent spoken and written English. • Good working level in German is preferred. • Must be capable of participating in teams. • Committed to actual delivery of process and policy into the business, not just a theoretician, but result oriented. | ||
