| Description | Essential Job Duties: Manager of a multi-disciplined team of Geologists, Petrophysicists, and Reservoir Simulation Engineers. Team is responsible for 1) creation of detail 3D geological/petrophysical descriptions of major Permian Basin waterflood and CO2 flood units, 2) upscaling of detailed models to simulation models using PETREL, VIP, Eclipse, and MORE to use as predictive tools for maintaining, expanding, or justifying installation of new CO2 floods, and 3) operational petrophysical support for a very active drilling program. In addition to these managerial skills, this Team Leader provides general oversight relating to consistency for reserves determination across the Permian Business unit. | ||
| Skills | Required Qualifications: • BS (or above) in Petroleum, Chemical or related engineering field • 15 years of experience, minimum, in Reservoir Engineering, Reservoir Simulation, with supervisory experience • Strong economic analysis skills • Experience in large waterfloods and CO2 floods • Permian Basin experience is a plus • Experience with or exposure to VIP, Eclipse, MORE simulation software • Understanding of geology, geophysics, and petrophysics and how these specialties interact with reservoir characterization and simulation | ||
