| Description | Job Function and Key Responsibility Areas:
• To ensure that operations are carried out in a safe manner and with minimal environmental impact and guaranteeing compliance with all appropriate standards and legislations.
• To provide overall HSE-Q policy advice and set HSE-Q standards for the sites (including District and Project locations) within the organization.
• To provide overall policy advice on security (personnel and facilities) an on quality.
• To provide guidelines, training, advice and monitoring to help ensure that all personnel in the organization perform their duties in a manner which poses no health, safety or environment hazards to themselves or those around them, and to the required levels of quality.
• To develop a detailed work plan and budget for the Department, organize and allocate resources according to priorities, manage the execution of work and senior staff performance to planned objectives.
• To ensure national staff training and development and to maintain the staff appraisal system.
• To contribute to the development of appropriate Regulations through Chairmanship of the PSA-defined EHS Committee.
• To engage with external industry parties and bodies to ensure that awareness of trends and influences affecting HSE Committee.

• Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment by following Statutory Health, Safety & Environmental Regulations and the company’s Corporate Health, Safety & Environment Policy, and applying Safety Management Systems. |

| Skills | Candidate Specifications:
• Relevant Degree.
• Extensive years of HSE and E&P experience, mainly operational with several years in a senior operational management role.
• Member of Institute of Occupational Health and Safety.
• Ability to demonstrate sustainable development and simultaneously pursuing economic targets and deadlines.
• Ability to arrive a pragmatic and acceptable environmental solutions.
• Ability to develop engagement strategies aimed at broad front of potential objectors, which will be central to maintaining a license to operate.
• Capacity to provide guidance to mixed discipline teams working to achieve results against tight time schedules.
• Ability to oil spill Response and remediation techniques.
• Strong technical background gained in a broad variety of Operating Units. |
