The Oilcareerfair at the SPE ATCE, 11 – 14 November, Anaheim, USA
San Antonio, USA - The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) 2007 Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) was held in Anaheim, California, and brought together 8,264 oil and gas E&P professionals from around the world. More than 400 exhibiting companies featured the latest products and services in the E&P industry.
Monday morning’s Opening General Session, “Help Wanted: Meeting the Oil and Gas Industry’s Staffing Challenges,” provided several innovative approaches to attracting, recruiting and retaining top technical talent in the industry. Tactics included extensive on-the-job training programs, mentoring opportunities, flexible work hours and talent management aligned with business strategy.
The Oilcareerfair hosted recruiters from Addax Petroleum, Baker Hughes, Eni International Resources, Hunt Oil Company, Object Reservoir, Occidental Oil & Gas and Worldwideworker. “Worldwideworker’s Wall of Opportunities” proved to be an eye catcher again, offering many interesting positions all around the world.
