  • Worldwideworker.com at the World Future Energy Summit, 19 – 21 January 2009, Abu Dhabi, UAE | 26 Jan, 2009

The 2nd World Future Energy Summit and its exhibition brought together 18,420 visitors from 84 countries. The event attracted the attention of world leader’s and was visited by official delegations from political, business, scientific, and educational backgrounds from around the globe which included the Former Prime Minister of the UK Tony Blair, IPCC Chairman Dr. Rajendra Pachauri, and the Crown Prince of the Netherlands HRH Willem-Alexander.

During the WFES event, Worldwideworker.com - the largest HR service provider for the energy industry - continued to focus on strengthening their position in the Renewable Energy industries.
“This highly technical and specialized Industry is growing fast and requires precise global recruitment, which is exactly what we do. In addition to entirely new companies and new engineers starting in this part of the Energy industry, there are also many companies and engineers from the traditional Energy and Oil & Gas industry crossing over into the Renewable Energy industry", says Mark van Mil, Senior Executive Search consultant for the Renewable Energy industry with Worldwideworker.com. "Large infra-structural projects, big Capex outlays and long-term planning and investments all characterize both the Renewable and the traditional Energy industry" continues Mark, "but for young engineers we notice the green image of the Renewable Energy industry is an additional attraction".

Even though the Worldwideworker.com database already contains the details of thousands of qualified candidates in the fields of Wind, Solar, Bio and other alternative Energy sources, the WFES was still a perfect gateway for many professionals in higher and technical management roles as well as business development roles to speak with Worldwideworker.com about possible job opportunities around the globe.
On the client side Worldwideworker.com was also able to expand its network and can therefore comfortably deliver its services in Renewable Energy industry, matching top Energy companies with top candidates.

  • Worldwideworker.com at Petrotech, 11-15 Jan 2009, New Delhi, India | 19 Jan, 2009

The theme of the conference “Energy Independence with Global Co-operation: Challenges & Solutions” amply reflects the need of the times. The 5 day conference thronged big number of visitors mainly clients from the energy market- big and small who are looking for services, collaborations, joint ventures, resources predominantly manpower, materials etc. This show was very useful for Worldwideworker as a company at the time of global meltdown where India subcontinent is thirsty for energy with its numerous new findings. We could generate good number of inquires here from clients who were exhibitors and visitors seeking our help to find high skilled people in the E&P areas. Vis-à-vis few hundred’s of candidates with varying experience level currently working in India and outside approached us inquiring opportunities within India. Overall this has been a good show for us despite there was no clients participated along with us exclusively for recruitment.

  • Worldwideworker.com Recruitment Event at the PETEX, 25 – 27 November 2008, London, UK | 1 Dec, 2008

PETEX is the largest UK conference and exhibition dedicated to oil and gas exploration and is run by the Petroleum Society of Great Britain (PESGB).
In total approximately 2900 G&G people visited the show, this figure is one of the highest for PETEX ever.

Addax Petroleum, Hunt Oil Company, Maersk Oil and Petronas Carigali had all joined the Worldwideworker.com Recruitment Event during the PETEX, with great success.

The Worldwideworker.com Wall of Job Opportunities also caught many curious eyes. Students and experienced Geologists, Geoscientists and Geophysicists were interested to see what’s on offer at the moment. Would the striking growth in job-hunting have anything to do with the economical situation at the moment? It nevertheless had a very positive effect on our presence, and we’re looking forward to PETEX 2010.

  • Worldwideworker.com at ADIPEC, 3 – 6 November 2008, Abu Dhabi, UAE | 10 Nov, 2008

This year’s ADIPEC 2008 bought together more than 200 international speakers, nearly 2,000 delegates, 1500 exhibitors, 18 national pavilions and 39,000 visitors from 89 different countries.
During the 4 day exhibition the Worldwideworker booth displayed our large “Worldwideworker.com Wall of Job Opportunities” which attracted a large number of local as well as international candidates and clients.

Inquiries from new clients mostly concerned questions about whether or not we can source people in geosciences / offshore design / commercial / contracting / offshore construction and other specific areas. YES WE CAN! Some companies who weren’t familiar with us yet were interested in knowing how we can support their hiring plan. We are always happy to able to look at individual needs and discuss tailor made solutions.
For candidates who have already uploaded their CV on our website, or who were planning to do so, it was a great opportunity to meet us in person and look for suitable and challenging new jobs on the spot.

Although Worldwideworker did not bring any clients along to recruit on the show site this time, we set out to grow our database with many talented Middle Eastern and Asian Oil & Gas professionals and business opportunities in this part of the world seem to be booming. Overall the show has proven to be successful for Worldwideworker and we feel confident in offering our clients the opportunity to come along with us next time; ADIPEC 2011
