The 2008 SPE ATCE brought together more than 9,800 oil and gas E&P professionals from around the world. More than 450 exhibiting companies featured the latest products and services in the E&P industry. The exhibition was the largest in ATCE history.
The Worldwideworker.com Recruitment Event featured its famous “Worldwideworker’s Wall of Opportunities”, where visitors could browse around and see which exciting global opportunities were on display.
Worldwideworker.com also launched its webpage especially focused on graduate jobs!
Companies from all over the world took part in the Recruitment event to promote themselves as potential employer and to gain the interest from the visitors, who realize the Oil Industry has become a ‘candidate driven market’ and have the luxury to shop around for the best jobs.
Participating companies were: Addax Petroleum, Hunt Oil Company, Maersk Oil, Newfield Exploration, Occidental Oil & Gas (OXY), Petronas Carigali and PTTEP (National Oil company of Thailand).
For the employers as well as the visitors the Recruitment event at the SPE ATCE was a big success.

Husum, Germany - It has been a very successfull week for the team as Worldwideworker participated in Wind Energy Career Event , working with Econcern, a leading european Renewable Energy company, held last in September 2008.
The event served as a very efficient high level recruitment event for Econcern and Worldwideworker in the growing field of Renewable Energy. A lot of professionals – candidates from graduates up to management level, as well as prospect clients have come and visited the booth as they showed interest in working for Econcern in a variety of exiting vacancies. The show was very busy and a much higher than expected number of visitors attended the event.
ONS 2008 has attracted more visitors than ever before in its 34-year history, with more than 40,000 people estimated to have attended by comparison with 35,507 in 2006.
The three specialty parks for LNG, innovation and renewable energy – and particularly the last of these – have enjoyed a level of visitors which exceeded all expectations.
Kjell Ursin-Smith, chief executive of the ONS Foundation says:
“I’ve also noted reports from the LNG and innovation parks that their visitors have been not only numerous but also very relevant for their particular concerns.”
He believes that ONS will be further expanded in 2010 as a meeting place for the wider energy industry.
"In particular, we’ve registered interesting contacts between the petroleum industry and the Renewable Energy Park, and I think we’ll make further progress in the renewables area.”

The WPC is where governments and oil companies, IOCs and NOCs, industry and stakeholders from around the globe come together to set out the way forward for the petroleum sector. Held every three years, the World Petroleum Congress well deserves its reputation as the ‘Olympics of the oil and gas industry’.
The WPC in Madrid drew more than 4,000 energy executives and specialists, up to 40 oil ministers, a host of NGOs (non-governmental organizations) and plenty of media.It was a great opportunity for Worldwideworker.com to promote its services for such a high level audience, and network with main sponsor and Worldwideworker client Repsol YPF.
This year NEFTEGAZ – the largest International Exhibition of Equipment for the Oil and Gas Industries in Russia has celebrated its 30th anniversary. Held in the best exhibition venue in the centre of Moscow the show included the show included 1048 companies from 40 countriesThe exhibition was attended by more than 20,000 visitors from 35 countries. 95% of the visitors were oil&gas specialists according to the show statistics.
The Worldwideworker booth was attended by numerous visitors who wanted to know more about the company, its services and clients. The “Wall of Opportunities attracted” a lot of attention and many professionals were happy to be interviewed for relevant positions by Maersk Oil recruiters on-site.
