| Description | Reporting to the Manager, Reservoir & Development, the successful candidate will be will be responsible for representing our client’s interests in various properties in Western Canada. Relying on a breadth of experience in engineering assessments and evaluations, the successful candidate will drive development programs and assess partner initiated activities and capital proposals in various oil and gas fields. | ||
| Skills | As an ideal candidate, you have at least 10 years experience in Reservoir and Development Engineering. You are a self-starter and willing to work independently across organizational boundaries. You will have a B.Sc. or advanced degree ideally in petroleum engineering, APEGGA membership, and skills the following areas: • Familiarity with all facets of Petroleum Engineering in oil and gas reservoirs, including reservoir performance monitoring, SEC reserves reporting, development planning, and assessment of drilling performance. Experience with shale gas, and knowledge of geoScout, RTA, OFM, Pete Rose tools and Crystal Ball are an asset. • Proven expertise in reservoir development and exploitation, excellent communication and presentation skills (oral, listening, written), good PowerPoint skills, and ability to work effectively as a team member on multiple simultaneous projects crossing several teams. • Experience in the design and optimization of waterfloods. • A thorough understanding of economics and economic modeling. Experience with ValueNavigator is an asset, but expertise with Excel is essential • Experience in acquisition activities and assessments. Preparation of budgets and cost control of AFE's. • Knowledge of Alberta ERCB, British Columbia MEMPR/OGC and Saskatchewan’s SEM regulatory frameworks. | ||
