Description of Business Development Manager |
Job Capsule: • With general autonomy, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for achieving revenue targets through the sale of our products in the assigned geographic area. • Establish and maintain client relationships. • Develop strategic account plans for identified key customers and develop new customers consistent with our Strategic objectives. • Provide clients with our technology value proposition, often in consultation with senior staff members and management. • Develop business plans for reaching revenue goals on major projects and become a leader on the introduction of new technology to the sales force. • Interprets and applies directions originating from the Director of Sales. Job Roles: • Establish and maintain client contacts at a manager level • Develop strategic account plans for identified key customers. • Identify new markets for Company products • Maximize revenue and profitability of Company by through sales of Technology • Develop the sales plan and targets for Company in their geographic area of responsibility. • Coordinate the preparation of forecasts and plans for major projects. • Meet and exceed target BD goals • Assist in the developing of the pricing schedule for products • Determine market need and develop/institute BD plans to secure future work. Scope of Job: • Job role is independently accountable for the business plans for growth opportunities within the sales organization. • Role contributes directly to value creation to the client. Autonomy of Job: • With general autonomy: a large part of communications with a supervisor or manager relates to major projects or department goals. Will have the responsibility to management centers for updating the status of business development objectives and efforts that can impact an entire department/function. Supervisory Responsibility of Job: • Performs own work and provides assistance to others. Interprets and applies directions originating at a higher level. Working Conditions: • Working conditions infrequently involve some physical exertion, exposure to the elements or hazards inherent in the job which may include routine travel. |

Skills required for Business Development Manager |
Education, Licensure, and Experience: • Successful candidate needs to have Drilling and/or Downhole tools sales or operations experience. • Preferably a Mechanical Engineer (college/degree education required) that has experience with major operators in the Middle East. • No less than 5 to 7 years experience in the industry, with most of that being specifically in the Middle East. • Must have the ability to evaluate the area market, determine product demand and client needs. • The BDM should be the leader in proposing the most effective and efficient resolution to our client requests. • Applicant must be fluent in Arabic. Saudi experience is a distinct advantage. |

| Remarks | It is anticipated that this position will initially be based in Dubai for a period of 6 to 8 months and will then relocate to Saudi or Bahrain with a daily commute. | ||
