Description of CO2 Storage Project Manager |
The chance to deliver the World's Largest CO2 Storage Project. Sasol is a South African based global leader in the manufacturing of synthetic fuels and chemicals through state-of-the-art proprietary technology. We have 50 years experience in world-scale Coal-to-Liquids(CTL)projects and are presently at the feasibility stage in the development of a US$8-10 billion CTL Plant in China. Further similarly valued CTL projects in India and the United States are at the planning stage. CO2 is a major by-product of CTL Plants and its neutralisation is a key requirement for their clean development. Our challenge is to dispose of 800MMSCFD over a 30 year period. We seek to recruit a Project Manager who can drive our CO2 Storage Project in China. You will be responsible for all stages of the project development, from conceptual studies through to front-end and detailed engineering. Specifically, you will have overall accountability for project definition, planning, costs, contracts and delivery. Our options will include geological storage and also the use of CO2 as gas injection for enhancing oil and gas recovery in depleted fields. This project is like to cost as much again as the CTL Plant and the project duration is anticipated to be up to 10 years. |
