Description of Chief Finance Officer	An International Oil & Gas Service Provider based in the Middle East is on the lookout for a Chief Finance Officer, who inturn reports to Chief Executive Officer. Responsibilities would be as follows: • Accountable for optimizing the financial structure of the company and financial governance. • Develop close working relations with financiers, shareholders, private equity investors and a central role in building investor relations. • Liaise externally with banks, third party consultants and tax advisors. • Oversee a team and carry out day to day responsibilities of: -Accounting – Book keeping, Audit, Year report -Treasury – Cash Management -Financing – Facilities -Taxation – Optimization of Tax benefits -Insurance – Assets, Personnel -Reporting – Performance Management & Ratios -Project Evaluations – Financial Due Diligence of Opportunities -Support acquisitions if this occurs.
Skills required for Chief Finance Officer	• University degree in Accounting or Finance plus professional qualification such as CPA, CA, CCA,CMA, etc. • 15+ years progressive experience including auditing, general accounting, financial management of which at least 8+ years should have been in oil and gas industry. • Financial analysis experience. • Ability to negotiate with business partners and manage complex acquisitions in the E&P industry • Experience in transaction management and deal financing • Ability to maintain excellent relationships with banks and investors • Knowledge of accounting principles as they apply to revenue recognition, internal accounting controls, taxation, investment and treasury functions • Experience in handling IPO • Excellent teamwork, leadership and communication skills are required • Experience in ERP implementation
