An exciting opportunity has arisen for a high caliber lawyer to join SDA’s legal team in Perth.

Responsibilities:
• The successful applicant for this role will be exposed to a wide range of oil and gas exploration, production and marketing activities, including joint ventures, asset sales/acquisitions and contracting/procurement negotiations.
• You will also be called upon to provide legal advice on competition and petroleum regulation and general commercial matters.

Skills required for Corporate Lawyer

Requirements:
• You will hold excellent academic qualifications and are likely to have had significant post-admission experience either within a major law firm or corporate legal department, particularly advising on Australian oil and gas matters.
• You will thrive on challenging work in a fast-paced commercial environment and possess well-honed presentation and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with senior management and external stakeholders.
• The capacity and willingness to undertake occasional travel on short notice, usually within Australia and to Asia, is also a pre-requisite.
• Applicants must be admitted to practise in an Australian state or territory.
