Description of Country Manager - Business Development

Job Purpose:
• To represent the company and manage all country activities in Algeria, with full P&L responsibility.
• To meet the Safety, Service Quality Customer care operational and financial targets set for the Country.
• To develop new business opportunities and establish excellent relationship with national oil companies and oil related companies in Algeria
• To Develop Local Employees and develop nationalization plan with defined targets.

Principal Accountabilities:
• Lead and support the base team to achieve excellence in operations objectives.
• To deliver Algeria income and profit contribution for the FY within the budgeted capex.
• To deliver services in the country to meet and exceed client expectations.
• To develop the personnel resource and organisation within Algeria.
• Actively manage mentor in country management team to ensure that operational, safety, quality and commercial standards are maintained.
• Develop relationships and maintain contact with Clients either IOC’s , JV’s at a senior level, and ensure that the Group is properly represented in country.
• Review and endorse monthly financial information and reports for submission to the Area Manager.
• Work with the Region’s finance group to ensure the profitability of the business.
• Support on going projects for minimum compliance standards
Oversee the administration of the Company’s affairs in Algeria
Support ongoing projects in country and manage the operation effectively and efficiently.
• Identify new business opportunities within the framework of an approved business plan.
• Prepare and submit BERs
• Prepare, review and endorse all agreements and contracts pertaining to the Country’s business.
• To Manage the Algeria organisation ensuring all safety, operational and commercial objectives are met.
• To work as a part of tender team when responding to major tenders.

Skills required for Country Manager - Business Development

• Should be a BS in Engineering with a Business degree from reputed business Schools with 10-15 yrs of Business Development
• Experience in the North African region preferably with Oilfield service companies.
Remarks Candidates who speak Arabic and French will be preferred.
