Position Overview:
With a clearly defined growth strategy and a diverse set of global operations, Talisman is driving a new initiative to strengthen our drilling & completion performance. The vision is to establish a central D&C group to focus on performance management, technical support and delivery of best practice on a global scale. Currently, we are recruiting for a Drilling & Completions Performance Manager role that will be responsible for leading global performance management for the D&C Global Group.

Responsibilities:
• Team Integration by supporting the Global D&C Discipline in understanding, communicating and improving Talismans global D&C performance.
• Lead / support improvement initiatives as required.
• Work with the global D&C region’s, establish and manage global D&C key business performance indicators (HSE, technical and financial). Analyse data for trends identifying areas for improvement focus and consistency.
• Work with each D&C function in the regions, establish and manage a global D&C benchmarking process.
• Establish and manage global key performance indicators for each service provider discipline (e.g. Directional Drilling, Fluids etc) ensuring the performance of like for like vendors can be compared globally.
• Establish region based contract champions for each key vendor.
• Develop and manage a global D&C performance review to OPCOM with a quarterly / bi-annual (to be determined) frequency.
• Work with engineers and suppliers to ensure quality close out of of unplanned / undesired events (HSE, business loss).
• Review and standardise globally existing D&C performance tools developing new systems as required.
• Support the D&C Discipline Network internal web homepage implementing improvements as required
• Assist in RCA (root cause analysis) of significant business loss / HSE incidents.
• Support and facilitate the D&C Performance Dialogue process
• Manage the annual D&C conference
• Support improvement projects as required
• Support cross regional sharing of technology, operational practices and lessons learned.

Skills required for Drilling & Completions Performance Manager – Global Drilling & Completions Discipline

• Related university degree combined with 10 to 20 years of D&C experience including several roles involving performance management and improvement. Field experience is essential.
• Excellent analytical skills and be familiar with computer applications.
• Must be able to multi-task and work to priorities; have good time management skills.
• Requires good report writing skills and be able to communicate effectively.
• Must have high ethical standards and a drive to improve. Good knowledge of Standard Microsoft and proprietary software.
• Good interpersonal skills to allow liaison with multiple D&C global teams.
• Experience in root cause analysis.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
