Position Overview:
With a clearly defined growth strategy and a diverse set of global operations, Talisman is driving a new initiative to strengthen our drilling & completion performance. The vision is to establish a central D&C group to focus on performance management, technical support and delivery of best practice on a global scale. Currently, we are recruiting for a Drilling Process Lead role that will be responsible for working closely with the global D&C functions in the regions to establish consistent drilling standards and support process development.

Responsibilities:
• Team Integration, by Supporting the global D&C network, establishing key minimum standards and processes for Talisman’s global Drilling operations.
• Lead / support improvement initiatives as required.
• Establish, maintain and develop all key drilling standards for global, procedures and templates. Ensure modification and updates of documents is managed effectively and communicated.
• Manage the Project Delivery System for Wells (PDSW) including development and implementation of Value improvement Processes (VIPs)
• Ensure best practice and global standards are communicated and maintained globally.
• Develop and manage global drilling risk assessment and mitigation processes.
• Support the best practice application of the processes, documents and systems used.
• Responsible for Compliance Audits to assess the consistency of application of global Drilling processes/standards.
• Provide guidance and training on the application of global drilling documents, providing worked examples to support the understanding of system users.
• Manage deviation from process / standards requests.
• Support improvement projects as required

Skills required for Drilling Process Lead – Global Drilling & Completion Discipline

Education, experience, technical Skills [Degree/diploma, professional certifications, years of work experience and other technical skill requirements]:
• Minimum of 15 years field / office experience in a well construction / completion / servicing / operations environment.
• Preferably a Graduate Engineer, but widespread experience and knowledge are essential.

Candidate profile [Non-technical skills e.g. leadership/supervisory skills, communication skills, ability to work independently, etc.]:
• Must have a thorough, proven technical understanding of well design and construction processes.
• Will have strong supervisory and planning skills involving multi-discipline teams in operating and/or service companies.
• Should be skilled in collation, analysis & interpretation of technical information.
• Must be skilled in the production of clear documentation and recommendations.
• Must be self-motivated, with good inter-personal and liaison skills.
