Description of Fire & Safety Manager |
Boots & Coots provides a suite of integrated pressure control and related services to onshore and offshore oil and gas exploration and development companies primarily in North America, South America, North Africa, West Africa and the Middle East. Boots & Coots is searching for a talented Fire and Safety Manager for a rotation position in Libya. Job Description: • Manage the Fire and Safety department in one of the production facilities including an aerodrome ranging from Category 5 to Category 3 with daily aircraft movements. • Support operations with appropriate guidance. • Provide industry knowledge and direction that assists the client Site Management Team to comply with all company HSE policies and standards, national regulations and local and international standards. • Provide strong leadership to the Fire and Safety department to meet the business needs. • Ensure all personnel are trained, competent and focused on their roles and responsibilities. |

Skills required for Fire & Safety Manager |
Requirements: • Qualified in Management Development Plans • Skilled in budget development, both Capital and Revenue Expenditures • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio • Proficient with reporting and report writing • Able to provide direction and leadership for the Fire and Safety department • Ability to manage performance and perform periodic performance reviews Qualifications and experience are desired in the following areas: • Minimum 10 years experience within petroleum industry having similar responsibilities including a Fire and Safety background • Able to work in a multicultural society where English is the second language • Knowledge of production and drilling operations in the hydrocarbon industry • Authoritarian management style implementing firm policies and strong decision-making management skills • Knowledge on management systems • Ability to make significant changes in employee work assignments • Journey management • Hold an International Driving License • Ability to travel and work in Libya on a 28-day rotation schedule |
