Description of Fire Systems and Emergency Capabilities Auditor |
Boots & Coots provides a suite of integrated pressure control and related services to onshore and offshore oil and gas exploration and development companies primarily in North America, South America, North Africa, West Africa and the Middle East. Boots & Coots is searching for a talented Fire Systems and Emergency Capabilities Auditor for a rotation position in Libya. Accountabilities: • Conduct the required inspections and audits as per a preset agreed schedule not limited to the following Fire Safety Equipment defined as per NFPA: Portable equipment, Semi fixed equipment, Fixed equipment, Mobile equipment, Emergency preparedness, Training and competency • Develop Tactical Fire Plans complete with consequence modeling data • Develop Pre Incident Plans assigning actions to the first 20 minutes of the event both process and response • Develop an Emergency Management Plan documenting how emergencies are managed complete with roles and responsibilities • Implement an internationally recognized Incident Command Structure to manage command and control from response to recovery • Provide bi-weekly and monthly progress reports to Project Manager • Provide a comprehensive report complete with recommendations based on risk exposure for each production facility |

Technical Skill Requirements: • Petrochemical industry knowledge regarding emergency response and recovery based on world class best practice • Have an understanding of minimum manning techniques and fire equipment suitability • Sound knowledge in consequence fire modelling • Knowledge in Fire and Hazard Explosion Modelling • Knowledge of Incident Command Systems and interfacing Emergency Response Plans with Business Continuity Plans • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio • Understanding of petrochemical process plant control loops to assist in asset damage mitigation Business Skill Requirements: • Minimum 10 years experience within petroleum industry having similar responsibilities identified in the "Technical Skill Requirements" and "Accountabilities" areas • Minimum 5 years of recent experience in industrial fire fighting and emergency management • Strong environmental impact knowledge in relation to emergency response and recovery • Recent experience using Incident Command System • Recent experience in Process Safety Management • Industrial / Emergency Response Certification • Williams Fire and Hazard Control Training • Foam Application Training • Ability to write concise reports • Environmental impact knowledge in relation to emergency response and recovery • Previous experience with Journey Management • Previous experience with Change Management • Communication skills where English is a second language • Strong auditing skills • Strong knowledge of confined space entry management and recovery • Ability to travel and work in Libya on rotation • Hold an International Driving License |
