Responsibilities The Foster Wheeler Graduate Programme for Control and Instrument Engineering graduates comprises an initial period of two years of training. This is followed by a further two years to continue to develop your learning and provide you with the necessary skills and experience to apply for membership of the IET and become a Chartered Engineer. Other features of The Graduate Programme include: • Accredited training with six monthly salary reviews and quarterly development reviews for the first two years, followed by two additional years of career development • Each graduate is assigned a mentor, a departmental training supervisor and a graduate development adviser to ensure they are supported in their personal and professional development to gain chartered status (where applicable) • From the beginning there is hands-on involvement working on projects with the opportunity to develop skills by working alongside experienced engineers • There are opportunities for site placements in the UK and abroad during a graduate's first few years with Foster Wheeler |

Skills required for Graduate Control and Instrument Engineer |
You will need a minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant engineering discipline. An MEng is required to enable you to meet chartership requirements. Your degree(s) should preferably include the following modules, or modules with similar content: • Measurement Theory and Devices • Data Acquisition & Analysis • Control Systems • Instrument Communication and Networking • Safety and Safety Management • Digital and Analogue Electronics • Software Engineering • Mathematics • Process Measurement and Control • Project Planning and Management |
