Description of HR Co-ordinator

A Leading Oilfield Service Company is looking out for a HR Co-ordinator for their operations in Libya.

Purpose of the Job:
To provide day today HR support to Libya operations, ensuring adherence to Group HR Policies and Procedures. In addition, any ad hoc HR projects.

Principal Accountabilities:
- Ensure administration paperwork raised for new starts, leavers, transfers, contracts, salary changes, promotion and any other contractual issue for national employees. In addition, ensure that personal details are forwarded to Group HR ie. Change of name, address, bank details. Ensure sickness absence documentation is copied to payroll and local file and original forwarded to Group HR.
- Provide training in Appraisal and Performance Management. Monitor return of annual appraisal forms and forward to Group HR. Retain copies for local files.
- First point of contact for employees’ HR queries. Provide guidance to Managers/Supervisors regarding interpretation of Company Policies.
- Recruitment and selection – control recruitment advertising, the circulation of CV’s and ensuring that appropriate response issued to candidate in a timely manner. Arrange interviews for prospective employees and the pre-employment/offshore medicals.
- Ensure all new employees receive an induction to the Company including completing Personnel Details Form, Emergency Contact Form, and obtain completed application form, medical certificates etc as detailed on Induction Form.
- Co-ordinate the termination/resignation process. Completion of termination checklist, Personnel Details Form to detail leave date, entitlement to holidays and expense balance. Ensure company property is returned and removal of access to company systems
- Liaise with local Payrolls on all salary issues.
- Assist with Manpower planning for Libya.
- Develop and provide advice on any country specific policies required that are not covered by Group standards in order to comply with country legislation.
- Provide assistance to management with discipline and grievance issues.
- Review of local national salary and benefits levels against competitors to ensure the company maintains competitive remuneration position.
- Development of annual training plans for non-technical training.
- Ensure Health and Safety is adhered to on a daily basis.
- Completion of ad-hoc projects as required.

Skills required for HR Co-ordinator

- Qualified in Human Resources to degree level with a minimum of 3 years HR experience.
- Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Confidentiality.
- Maturity.
