Description of HSE Training Coordinator

Boots & Coots provides a suite of integrated pressure control and related services to onshore and offshore oil and gas exploration and development companies primarily in North America, South America, North Africa, West Africa and the Middle East. Boots & Coots is searching for a talented HSE Training Coordinator for a rotation position in Libya.

Job Description:
• Coordinate and assist in the development of all HSE technical training activities for production, emergency response, drilling, and workover activities.
• Required to conduct training at set times to coincide with the HSE-MS implementation and roll out in order to meet the project teams requirements.
• Develop an HSE technical training and competency matrix for 1800+ employees
• Develop HSE technical training material for site trainers to implement
• Coordinate all training activities to ensure that all personnel are adequately trained and competent to meet the needs of the HSE MS team
• Develop justifications and budgets for subsequent years for training deliverables
• Introduce Further Development programs for the clients direct hire personnel to enhance their knowledge and skill set.

Skills required for HSE Training Coordinator

Requirements:
• Must have training qualifications such as City & Guilds and/or, ITO Training, and Assessment (or equivalent);
• Qualifications such as a Diploma in Adult Education
• Minimum of 10 years experience within petroleum industry having similar responsibilities identified in this role including a Fire and Safety background
• Knowledge of production and drilling operations in the hydrocarbon industry
• Knowledge on HSE management systems, primarily the training elements
• Knowledge of emergency response and management
• Skills in adult learning, training module development and instruction, and meeting facilitation
• Technically proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
• Proficient with report writing in a timely manner
• Proficient in time management, project coordination, and planning
• Ability to educate adults where English is a second language
• Ability to read and speak Arabic is desirable, but not essential
• Able to work in a multicultural society where English is a second language
• Hold a valid International Driving License
• Ability to travel and work in Libya on rotation
