Description of HSE Training Officer |
Purpose: • To supervise, coordinate and monitor the site HSE Plan in particular to develop and implement HSE training as per the HSE Plan. Be a focal point for all Division HSE training needs. Main Accountabilities: • To supervise, coordinate and monitor the site HSE Plan. In particular – to develop the HSE training section as per the HSE Plan. • Review HSE competency requirements for HSE critical activities, and to develop trainings to meet these competency requirements. • Develop training courses and training manual for GTTC and CAMS students. • To assess training competencies established by contractor companies as part of their submitted HSE Plans and HSEMS. • Be a focal point of the Division Induction program and see to the continuous improvement of all induction materials. • To provide HSE training to contractors during shutdowns, star-up and commissioning activities. • Develop risk based training courses for contractors in multi languages. • Assess effectiveness of training and trainers. To be done both in-house and with third parties. • To develop HSE campaigns on different issues to ensure proper HSE Culture is disseminated to all employees. In particular – to develop and assess both training needs and development of materials for HSE campaigns. • To participate in the development of site safety procedures and guidelines, and to develop training standards related to procedures and guidelines. • To participate in the HSE Sections Group meetings and provide necessary HSE advice to employees. • Participate in the development and follow-up of the HSE department Budget. In particular – to develop the necessary resource allocations for training needs of the Division. • To facilitate implementation of HSEMS in companys, as well as identify training requirements from the site specific HSEMS. • Participate in HSEIA review and also provide necessary guidance to concerned divisions to implement HSEIA action items. • Prepare and distribute HSE bulletins/newsletters • Evaluate and disseminate “Did You Know” and HSE alerts • Develop HSE posters • Develop a video/DVD library, • Promote e-learning. • Develop in-house video productions as part of special projects. |
