Description of Head of Human Resources |
To support its continued expansion, Geolog International B.V., seeks to appoint a Head of Human Resources. The Head of Human Resources will assume leadership responsibility for developing and delivering the global Human Resources strategy. This will involve the creation, communication and execution of people capability, performance management, training and development, communication and rewards and remuneration policies and procedures for a growing international organisation composed of university graduated field engineers assigned, on rotation basis, on remote drilling sites around the world. The workforce includes field engineers on national (70%) and international contracts (30%). Duties and responsibilities shall include recruiting field engineers to meet forecasted activity growth, personnel evaluation, detection and development of high potentials, promotions, reviewing personnel policies for international and national employees, establishing salary grids, preparing and approving employment contracts, reducing personnel turnover, supervising international payroll, and keeping field personnel costs within the approved budget. The position is fulltime and based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. |

Skills required for Head of Human Resources |
• The appointed candidate will demonstrate an international human resources background, ideally (but not necessarily) in the oilfield services industry. • This position will suit an individual who has had experience in outlining and implementing Human Resources capabilities in an international environment across multiple jurisdictions/countries and a proven, hands-on experience managing a multinational workforce in a challenging environment. • The candidate shall be university graduated and be fluent in English. • Additional languages like French and Spanish are an advantage. • Hold a work permit to work in the EU. • Industry qualifications (CIPD or MEB) an advantage but not a requirement. |

| Remarks | The position requires extensive travelling (approx ten days/month) outside Europe, to visit and support regional managers and to recruit, train and manage local personnel managers in countries with large, sustained operations.
