Description of Human Resources Advisor

Our company was organized in June 2002 under the laws of Alberta, Canada. Since its creation we have grown into a young and dynamic international company with interests in Trinidad and in the Netherlands. Today, the company holds an extensive portfolio of both exploration and development interests in a total of eleven offshore blocks in the Dutch sector of the North Sea. In Trinidad, The company holds a non-operated interest in the producing Coora onshore oilfield.

The Human Resources Advisor will be required to provide support on Human Resources - including Compensation & Benefits, Training & Development, Recruitment & Selection, Expatriate issues and Administration.

Duties:
• Draft and review agreements of employment, policies and procedures on Human Resources issues.
• Provide timely input for the external Payroll and ensure proper administration and control.
• Provide support and advice on Compensation & Benefits, Training & Development, Recruitment & Selection and related activities.
• Provide advice on expatriate issues and ensure timely and proper follow up.
• Act as liaison officer to external services providers on Human Resources related issues (Lawyers, Lease car providers, Compensation and Benefits consultants, Temporary Employment agencies, Occupational Health Care Provider, Insurance firms, Executive Searchers, Accountants etc.)
• Provide input to G & A budget - with respect to personnel costs & training.
• Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.

Skills required for Human Resources Advisor

Experience:
• Extensive experience in Human Resources in an international environment (preferably more than 10 years) and ideally knowledge of the Dutch E&P sector.
• Knowledge of the E&P business.
• Excellent communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree (BSc) in Human Resources.
• Excellent command of the English language, both verbally and in writing.
• Fully conversant with Microsoft Office.
