Description of IT/Computer Engineer |
An International Oilfield Service Company is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic IT/Computer Engineer to work for their project in and outside Iraq. • Responsible for maintaining the technical infrastructure for internal corporate. The IT/Computer Engineer will be responsible for maintenance of LAN/WAN, telecom, back-office, servers, administration and support activities for in-house IT needs. Primary Duties: • Participating as an effective, competent team member in the implementation and deployment, including but not limited to: -Server setup -Network configuration -Application deployment • Additional responsibilities include addressing in-house system engineering needs, including but not limited to: -Server and workstation setup -Development, stage and production environment support -Network security -Anti virus management and Patch Management -Software license and hardware asset management • Provide reasonable time and hour estimates for technical tasks. • Meet established deadlines for all technical tasks. • Ensure tasks are completed on time and on budget. |

Skills required for IT/Computer Engineer |
• Engineering degree from an accredited college in a related discipline. • 1-5 years of working experience in similar field. • Experience with various areas of IT, spanning hardware, networks, operating systems, software development, databases, and security. • Experience in configuration and maintenance of Cisco and other routers / hardware. • Experience in configuration and maintenance of leading Firewall Hardware and Software. • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deliverable deadlines with minimal supervision and guidance. • Effective communication skills. • MCSE and CCNA certification an advantage. • Knowledge on .net / VBScripts / MS Access programming preferred. |
