Description of Instrument Engineer |
Job Purpose: Provide Instrument/Control maintenance support to site in ensuring that the plant, equipment and system necessary for achieving Business Unit’s performance target are kept in fit for purpose condition. Principal Accountabilities: • Perform trouble shooting of Business Unit Equipment of Instrumentation nature and provides solutions. • Provide technical support to site operating and maintenance personnel. • Investigate and analyze equipment failure and propose ways to eliminate reoccurrence. • Provide off site repairs support through local workshops/vendors. • Conducts technical review of drawing, specifications and other instrument & control technical documents. • Conducts instrumentation and control system audit and checks. Prepare audit report. • Participates in area classification and Hazop studies. • Conducts and assist in performing modification as required. • Ensure proper training is provided to graduate U.A.E. Nationals on assignments to (B.U.) |

Skills required for Instrument Engineer |
Minimum Requirements: • B. Sc. In Instruments Engineering • At least 10 year working industry experience of which 5 year should be in Oil/Gas Industry. • Experience should cover Process Variable Measuring Instruments, Controls metering, DOS, PLC, analyzer, Turbine controls, etc. • Computer Literate. • Very good knowledge of English. |
