Description of Marine Engineer |
We are currently recruiting for a driven and self motivated Marine Engineer to work with our terminal tank ship technical support unit. Saudi Aramco has projects value that varies from $25.m for individual vessel alterations to a new construction program valued at $10m. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct incident investigation & prepare report and recommendations. Tanker vetting through automatic tanker vetting system. • Evaluate ships that arrive at Saudi Aramco's terminals in a deficient condition and recommend actions to the terminal management to resolve the situation in a satisfactory manner. • Conduct ship inspections. • Conduct safety inspection internal verification (audit) to ensure quality and frequency of safety inspections are maintained. • Preparing deficiency telexes to owners. • Prepare claims for additional marine services provided to ship owners. • Monitoring PIM and port Booklets. • Preparing communications with GSCC, SIGTTO, OCIMF & the IMO. • Coordinate ISPS issues. • Coordinate TPOD involvement with joint ventures, eg. Petrorabigh. Comprehensive knowledge of international regulations, classification society standards, marine engineering practices, specifications and rules. • Provide technical advice to Port Captain and Chief Harbor Pilot. • Consult on tugboat, pilot boat and mooring boat proposed designs. |

Skills required for Marine Engineer |
Education: • BS Engineering and/or a certificate of competency as chief engineer/class Experience: • 10+ years desired to include 5 years as senior officer on tankers and/or gas (LPG) carrier. |
