Description of Mechanical Engineer |
A Major International Oil Company is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Mechanical Engineer to work on their project in and outside Iraq. Purpose: • To plan, co-ordinate and supervise all Maintenance activities for the mechanical equipment. • To ensure the availability and reliability. • Supporting the preventive, corrective, troubleshooting, shutdown and major and minor maintenance activities, on various types of mechanical equipment situated in designated site areas. • To ensure that all the equipments are maintained, improved and/or replaced for optimum plant availability to meet the integrity requirements. • To plan and coordinate Mechanical Maintenance activities with other departments and sections. • To conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and non-scheduled shutdowns and recommend problem resolutions. • To ensure that all the required material, spares, consumables and tools are of the right quality and quantity and available on a continuous basis. • To participate in Risk Assessment exercises and prepare recommendations and guidelines to address the findings. • To ensure development & implementation of Competency Based Training & Development programs. • To continuously ensure reliability and availability of equipment under his assigned area, when consideration is given to the aging of plant, structures and equipment. |

Skills required for Mechanical Engineer |
• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering • Minimum 5 years experience, preferably in Oil and Gas Field with experience in mechanical maintenance • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Interact with all teams within the organization. |
