Description of Offshore Pipeline Engineer	To follow up and supervise the work of contractors who are responsible for design, installation engineering, fabrication, construction, installation and pre-commissioning sub-sea pipeline and SSIV.
Skills required for Offshore Pipeline Engineer	• BSc or equivalent in offshore pipeline engineering discipline with 15+ years in offshore design & sub-sea pipeline. • Experience in offshore pipeline installation requirements including a significant number of the following aspects, routing, surveys, S-lay, pipeline bundle fabrication & tow trenching/backfill, tie-ins (welded), riser stalk-on, pre-commissioning, J-tube pull for cables/umbilical, installation engineering, construction specifications, installation methods. • Management skills to interface activities among contractors. • Good oral and written English language, good report writing. • Presentation, analytical and computer skills. • Familiar with international codes, standards and industry guidelines. • Familiar with software packages Microsoft Office, Math CAD, familiarity with finite element software e.g. Abaqus, SAGE Profile, Autopipe, Offpipe.
Remarks	The position is based in Tripoli working a seven week three week six day per week rotation. Tax free compensation and a generous local allowance is payable in addition to salary & excellent accommodation with the use of a car. BUPA Gold with evacuation to point of origin. Return air travel with door to door expenses and all necessary immigration documentation visas and work permits etc.
