Description of Oil Trading Finance Manager |
An E&P Company in Lagos, Nigeria is currently recruiting a Oil Trading Finance Manager. Objectives: • The successful candidate will be required to work closely with front, mid, and back office personnel. With the wealth of practical experience, the successful candidate will be expected to manage the Finance and Accounts department of the company in ensuring cost efficient financing options for the organization in order to maximize profitability and maintain continuous liquidity, prompt and accurate delivery of Management and Financial statements in maintaining a healthy Return on Investment (ROI) for the business. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following: • Supervise the day to day & period-end financial & accounting functions for all the product lines and offices & ensure correct financial and management reporting. • Supervise and review of accounting all accounting entries, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payables, Reconciliations, Billings & Invoices, and Asset Counting. • Handle all Treasury responsibilities of the business including all LC negotiations, all banking placements and facility negotiations and liaison with Group Treasury. • Ensure development, documentation and implementation of processes and procedures for the business. • Ensure that the integrity of the accounting ledgers are upheld. • Ensure the preparation of monthly accounts reconciliations • Ensure smooth transition in respect of the ERP system implementation. • Ensure preparation of Monthly/Quarterly/Half Yearly internal/external reports in respect of performance reviews and audit issues • Other Ad-hoc duties. |

Skills required for Oil Trading Finance Manager |
• Bachelors Degree • ACA: - Associate Chartered Accountant (ICAN Member or ACCA Member) • Minimum of 6-12 yrs working Experience from a reputable organisation. • Experience of working in a Group company would be an added advantage. • Minimum of 5 years related experience in crude/products trade accounting environment and/or operational accounting • Ability to set up processes and procedure in the trading environment • Management Reporting and controls • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required as well as the ability to relate to a diverse group of people across the company • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills • Positive, self-motivated and energetic individual who enjoys working in a fast paced, team-orientated environment • Comfortable working with multiple systems • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word with a working knowledge of Oracle / SAP software preferred. |
