Description of Operations Manager |
A Reputed Oil & Gas Company is looking for an Operations Manager for their operations in UAE. The candidate initially will work as an Operations Superintendent and later be promoted as an Operations Manager after 6 months where he needs to take up the challenge of the senior role . Purpose of the Job: • To develop and produce the hydrocarbon reserves of the Field and the surrounding area safely, efficiently and profitably. Job Content: •Ensure that all Company facilities, associated equipment and materials are of proper design are operated and maintained to minimize risk to health, safety and the environment. •Maintain safe working practices and a safe working for all production, Oil and Gas export, pipelines and flow lines, drilling and well related activities. •Achieve optimum utilization, effectiveness, and efficiency of all field and resources to meet business needs based personnel and production plans. •Enforce Company and Statutory HSE Standards personnel and requirements in minimizing loss and risk to personnel and assets. Work Content: •Oversees and manages gas and oil operations and production of unconventional assets. Maximizes production, reserves, and efficiency to obtain corporate goals and objectives. •Ensures compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements by developing and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Investigates violations and initiates preventive programs. •Ensures production goals and financial objectives are achieved by overseeing and directing Production, Construction, and Facility Supervisors and activity within a specific geographic area. •Participates in the development and implementation of annual business plan and long-range planning including determining and planning project resource requirements. •Ensures high performance standards for activity within the geographic area including production, reserves and lifting costs by monitoring, recommending, and implementing process improvements and field enhancements. •Prepares and analyzes production activity reports. Establishes policies, ensures effective communication, and helps facilitate activities between Corporate and the field. •Participates in special projects as directed by the VP - Unconventional or President. Maintains assigned staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and facilitating the training of employees. •Directs staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees. Plans, monitors, and appraises job results by effectively implementing the company performance review process. •Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks. |

Skills required for Operations Manager |
•Bachelors Degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering . •10 years experience in Oil and Gas exploration and production. Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience. High degree of integrity and business ethics. •Thorough knowledge of oil and gas drilling, production, and facility operations, and legal and safety obligations. •Experience with production from unconventional reservoirs; compression and pipeline facilities. •Ability to develop and manage budgets. •Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects, adhering to strict deadlines.
