Description of Petroleum Engineer |
An International Oilfield Service Company is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Petroleum Engineer to work for their project in and outside Iraq. Duties: • Ensuring that optimum well performance is achieved in a safe manner in accordance with HSE policy and good oilfield practice. • Produce programmes for well completions, well tests. • Carry out analysis of technical data and studies, including well tests, production performance and assist with reservoir modeling and simulation. • Assisting in planning the annual work programme for Production Engineering and Reservoir Department and ensuring the programme is implemented within budget to meet schedules. • Assist in development and planning of production enhancement strategies. • Generate production forecasts. • Archiving of technical data to a suitable database. |

Skills required for Petroleum Engineer |
• Degree in engineering or science. • Minimum 5 years Engineering experience with exposure to operations. • Expertise in Production/Petroleum and Reservoir Engineering (expertise in several areas and good understanding of others: drilling, project management, reservoir engineering, completion engineering). • Operational experience of drilling, well completion and testing and wireline data acquisition • Experience in project management and budgeting. • Experience with industry standard software packages • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Interact with all teams within the organization |
