We are currently looking for some enthusiastic Process Operators to join the team at the Geelong Refinery to start in February 2010. If you’ve ever wanted a stimulating, hands-on career with a world-class energy company, then now is the time to act!

Responsibilities:
As a Process Operator, you will ensure the safe, efficient and effective operation of the Refinery plant and equipment to the required standards, in a safe and environmentally compliant manner. This includes identifying opportunities for continuous operational improvement on equipment performance and preparation and isolation of equipment for maintenance. Working on a shift roster, you will also be responsible for the execution of minor adjustments and repairs, sampling and maintaining a comprehensive log of activities and events. All activities will be conducted in line with Shell’s HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) policies and procedures.

Skills required for Process Operators

Requirements:
These roles require initiative, superior written and verbal communication skills, problem solving skills and analytical ability with a strong attention to detail. You thrive on working in a hands-on practical environment while illustrating an unwavering commitment to safety, environmental performance and teamwork. You have the ability to demonstrate technical aptitude, ideally in a manufacturing or similar environment. Prior experience with rotating equipment, pumps, valves, maintenance, fully automated process equipment and refinery processes will be well regarded.

The remuneration, terms and conditions for these roles are governed by an enterprise agreement. Applicants must possess Australian or New Zealand Permanent Residency.
