Description of Public Relation Officer |
An International Oilfield Service Company is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Public Relation Officer to work for their project in and outside Iraq. Duties: • To manage, control and co-ordinate the Public Relations and Communications activity within the company in order to enhance and promote the reputation of the company internally and externally. • Develop PR plan and budget. • Delegate tasks and manage department. • Implement relations programme. • Organise exhibitions, conferences and seminars. • Monitor and influence Community relations. • Develop and implement sponsorship programme. • Develop and implement (when required) crisis management programme. • Liaise with company's Public Relations representatives. • Co-ordinate high level visits. • The PR Officer is required to evaluate options, consider cost effectiveness and maximum efficiency / expediency routes – all in the context of what is best for company's corporate goals. |

Skills required for Public Relation Officer |
• Degree or equivalent level, and possess relevant Marketing, PR or Communications qualification or have membership of relevant Institute / Association e.g. Institute of Public Relations. • Minimum of 5 years PR / Communications experience. • Managing budget and resources, the ability to inspire confidence and trust, excellent communications and written skills, an ability to influence effectively and diplomatically, an aptitude for lateral thinking, imagination and decisiveness, good presentational skills. • Must be able to work well under pressure, flexible and capable of multi-tasking, establish a working rapport within the media industry. • Previous working experience in an Oilfield company. • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Interact with all teams within the organization |
