Position: Our Research and Field studies teams at our Headquarters in France or within our Affiliates throughout the world seek new talent. The positions are within the Geosciences Departments of our company, a major in the Oil & Gas sector. You may be based in France or abroad (many possibilities). You will contribute to our projects in your Geophysical speciality: Processing, Interpretation, Depth Imaging-Depth conversion, Well seismic, Operations/Safety Supervision or Research. Typical projects involve exploration & development of oil and gas fields, reservoir characterisation and maximising hydrocarbon recovery. Your role will be multidisciplinary, team working with geologists and reservoir engineers. Total currently employs over 350 Geoscientists. Cross-discipline interaction and international postings will enhance your experience Excellence in Geophysics allied to scientific rigour and an ability to see the “big picture”: are essential attributes. Geophysicists are a key element in our E&P success, exerting a strong influence on operational decisions. You can expect to progress into broader scientific, technical and managerial responsibilities within our worldwide E&P Projects. |

Education: • Good degree/post-graduate degree in a Geoscience discipline • English is a must. Willingness to accept local and international postings is essential to ensure career progress. Experience : • We are looking for Geophysicists with at least 10 years experience and a well recognized academic background in a Geoscience discipline. • The professional experience may have been acquired within an operating oil and gas company, a service company or an appropriate research centre Skills : • Excellent team working ability, multicultural sensitivity, adaptability and open-mindedness |
