Description of Senior Production Chemist	Maersk Oil in Esbjerg, Denmark is looking for a Senior Production Chemist for the team handling all production chemistry issues and chemical applications related to the Danish offshore operations. The department is responsible for 5 main process facilities and the associated satellites. In an exciting and challenging working environment, you will be part of the Production Chemistry team in the Production Department. You will work in close cooperation with both on- and offshore staff to achieve production targets in a safe and environmentally sound manner. The challenges include optimisation of the separation and produced water treatment system, scale and corrosion inhibition, and implementation of “greener” chemicals. Regular offshore visits are required to follow-up on chemical applications, troubleshooting, and field trial of chemicals. Selection, evaluation, implementation, and optimisation of chemical applications are an important part of the job. Responsibilities include: • Selection and implementation of production chemicals incl. coordination of tenders and contract award • Environmental assessment and reporting • Evaluation and optimisation of chemical effectiveness • Planning and accomplishment of offshore field trials • Evaluation and development of analytical tools in cooperation with offshore lab techs • Logistics and quality assurance • Defining scope of work for minor and major modifications to the installations
Skills required for Senior Production Chemist	Your qualifications are: • Chemical engineer, chemist or similar • Minimum of 5 years work experience and a good practical approach to the job • Experience from similar jobs in the oil industry is preferred • Team player with excellent personnel, coordinating, and planning skills • Fluency in both verbal and written English
