Description of Specialist (Reservoir Modeling) |
PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (Carigali) is a wholly owned Exploration and Production (E&P) subsidiary of PETRONAS, the national oil company of Malaysia. Carigali is actively expanding beyond the shores of Malaysia towards attaining its vision to be A Multinational Exploration and Production ( E&P ) Company of Choice Creating Value through Continuous Improvement and Growth. Currently, Carigali has expanded from domestic E&P company into a full-fledged international organization with interest in 25 countries mainly in South East Asia, Africa, Central Asia and Middle East. Job Description: • Build multiple scenario static reservoir models integrating available 3D seismic, well log, core analysis, production and reservoir analogue data. • Be familiar with full reservoir characterisation workflow process, from constructing static 3D reservoir models through to up-scaled dynamic simulation models. • Integrate reservoir geological modeling studies with other disciplines, including sedimentology, sequence stratigraphy, structural geology, petrophysics, geophysics and reservoir engineering. • Share expertise with other Carigali staff through participation at technical meetings, mentoring and training. |

Skills required for Specialist (Reservoir Modeling) |
Qualifications: • Degree / M. Sc / Ph. D in Sedimentology or Reservoir Geology Experience and skills required: • 10 to 20 years of experience in oil and gas industry. • Has practical experience in development (production) and geology reservoir management. • Expert in 3D reservoir geological modeling, reservoir sedimentology/ sequence stratigraphy and geostatistics. • Experienced user of at least one 3D reservoir geological system, preferably Roxar’s RMS or Schlumberger’s Petrel, experience with other modeling systems would be advantageous. • Involved in reservoir modelling studies in various depositional and tectonic environments, ideally involving both clastic and carbonate reservoirs. |
