Description of Supply Chain / Contracts Advisor

Our company was organized in June 2002 under the laws of Alberta, Canada. Since its creation the company has grown into a young and dynamic international company with interests in Trinidad and in the Netherlands. Today, the company holds an extensive portfolio of both exploration and development interests in a total of eleven offshore blocks in the Dutch sector of the North Sea. In Trinidad, we hold a non-operated interest in the producing Coora onshore oilfield.

The Supply Chain Advisor will be required to provide business support on all Supply Chain activities which includes Contracting & Procurement, Sourcing and Contract Management for all activities within the scope of the Dutch subsidiary.

Duties:
• Build the Supply Chain function and processes in line with the company guidelines
• Through the analysis of current and expected spend, processes and practices, develop an overall procurement strategy that directly supports the companies goals and targets
• Develop Procurement tools in order to optimize procurement efficiency
• Prepare Requests for Information (RFI), Request for Quote (RFQ), and Requests for Proposal (RFP); Analyze supplier responses and quotes; Lead or facilitate supplier selection, negotiations and obtain necessary buy-in from the business
• Administration and control , in collaboration with the HSE and Finance departments adhering to HSE and Finance policies
• Interaction with internal and external customers / suppliers and manage these relations
• Assure that all procurement activities are in line with companies tender policies and ethical guidelines
• Interaction with external suppliers to negotiate and award term-agreements and manage these agreements.

Skills required for Supply Chain / Contracts Advisor

• Extensive experience in Contracting & Procurement in an international environment (preferably more than 5 years) and ideally knowledge of the Dutch E&P sector.
• Knowledge of the E&P business.
• Ability to understand vendor contracts and consult with the legal advisor
• Ability to set up contracts and improve contract formats and processes
• Excellent communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills.
• Pragmatic, geared towards finding solutions.
• Flexible, able to adapt to a growing and changing environment.
• Analytical.
• Self starter/self motivated.
• Team player, able to build strong working relationships, also with external parties.
• Hands-on and pro-active.

Qualifications:
• NEVI & II or equivalent procurement education desirable .
• HBO (Higher Vocational)
• Excellent negotiating skills and proven results
• Excellent command of the English language, both verbally and in writing.
• Fully conversant with Microsoft Office.
