Description of System Administrator	A Leading International Property Developer is on look out for a Corporate System Administrator. Some of the responsibilities would be as follows: • Managing the installation of servers, printers, drivers, various software, front end tools etc. • Designing the backup strategy for the sites and ensuring scheduled / unscheduled backups as per the plan. • Overseeing installation & commissioning as well as conducting tests & inspections to ensure operational effectiveness of utilities. • Ensuring execution of preventive maintenance of hardware, including schedules / shutdown maintenance to ensure trouble free and seamless operations. • Overseeing infrastructure planning, designing for contingency of infrastructure, installation & configuration of networks for improvement of performance, security with effective solutions and disaster recovery planning. • Administrating the Windows 2003 Active Directory running DHCP, DNS and RAS Servers. • Troubleshooting all networks & migrations. • Networking Operations: - Mapping client’s requirements & architecting customized solutions to suit their requirements. - Handling LAN, WAN, WAN Protocols, Internet and Intranet and networking devices administration, switching and transmission concepts. - Installing the hubs, switches, desktop computers and network printers. - Overseeing the LAN/WAN Network Services, PC Desktop Systems and 24*7 Data Center Computer Operations. - Installing and administering network infrastructure and telecommunications system. • Technical Support/Troubleshooting: - Assisting in design and implementation of the network troubleshooting server network problems and conflicts. - Furnishing support in areas of computer hardware, network infrastructure (data & voice) and network security. - Troubleshooting printers & network for any issues related to hardware or software. - Suggesting improvements in the operations and processes to make the system full proof. - Rendering technical support / training to clients and site engineers for resolving critical technical issues. - Identifying performances bottlenecks and taking adequate measures to rectify faults.
Skills required for System Administrator	• Degree in Computer Science • With a minimum of 8 years experience in providing IT support , project management in the design and implementation of ERP system such as Oracle. • Managing and administering servers. • Professional IT qualification would be an advantage.
