• Accessing the FPSO’s engineering database to:
a. Assemble the full structural drawing package relevant to each tank’s inspection.
b. Assemble the mechanical equipment drawing package for any mechanical equipment maintenance activity within the tank (valves, pumps etc)
c. Assemble the instrumentation drawing package any instrumentation equipment maintenance activity within the tank (level transmitters etc)
• Drafting the inspection scope to capture the critical structural areas (as identified in the FPSO’s structural RBI study document and generic structures identified in the IACS Recommendation 96: “Double Hull Oil Tankers - Guidelines for Surveys, Assessment and Repair of Hull Structures (April 2007)” for information on critical areas) and the requirements of the Classification Society. Detailed example inspection scope document have been generated as templates for this work.
• Review the draft inspection workpack with the Floating Systems Technical Authority and the Asset Corrosion Engineer.
• Electronically mark up the inspection drawings.
• Formally issuing the approved workpack to the tank inspection job officer.
