Description of Technical Coach

PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (Carigali) is a wholly owned Exploration and Production (E&P) subsidiary of PETRONAS, the national oil company of Malaysia. Carigali is actively expanding beyond the shores of Malaysia towards attaining its vision to be A Multinational Exploration and Production ( E&P ) Company of Choice Creating Value through Continuous Improvement and Growth.

Currently, Carigali has expanded from domestic E&P company into a full-fledged international organization with interest in 25 countries mainly in South East Asia, Africa, Central Asia and Middle East.

Job Description:
• Design and develop development plans for junior staff to achieve closure of skill and competency gaps as required to support business objectives.
• Conduct coaching engagements with individuals to transfer technical knowledge/skill strength and educate assigned junior staff on tacit experiences that would support staff in delivering business performance as planned.
• Review and measure the effectiveness of technical knowledge acquired by junior staff through training programs, on the job training and specific assignments.

Skills required for Technical Coach

Qualifications:
• Degree / M.Sc / Ph.D level preferably in Petroleum Engineering/ Chemical/ Mechanical Eng.

Experience and skills required
• 10 - 20 years industry experience in:
* Geoscience (Exploration)
* Geoscience (Development)
* Reservoir Engineering (Reservoir Development and Reservoir Studies)
* Reservoir Engineering (Reservoir Management and Surveillance)
* Well Testing
* Petrophysics
* Drilling (Well Engineering / Well Construction / Well Completion / Fluids Engineering)
* Production Technology (Well Technology and Production Enhancement)
* Production Technology (Production Chemistry).
• Able to leverage industry best practices and share experiences
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Patience and passion for knowledge transfer
• Good at planning and organizing
