Description of Technical Director |
The primary focus of Technical Director will be the effective and safe operation and maintenance of the existing assets including LNG, On- & Offshore Production & Processing Facilities and Onshore Pipelines. Responsibilities: • Provide technical expertise and guidance related to ongoing operations to support all project and operational activities • Provide guidance on both existing and future On & Offshore production and processing facilities as well as general oil and gas expansion projects. • Involvement in Contracting & Procurement strategy as well as guidance in contract execution. • Monitor the development, improvement and insurance of the safety policies of the operations and provide guidance where appropriate • Oversee and propose relevant audits for the project to ensure technical integrity and legibility of additional capital expenditures requests • Represent the Shareholders, when appropriate, in discussing existing and future facilities as well as additional investments. • Identify and promote employee development programs towards a greater competency • Participate in all future development studies within the company providing expert opinions and guidance on both technical and operational issues |

Skills required for Technical Director |
Education: • Process engineering or Petroleum Engineering degree with an advanced degree a plus. Experience: • 15+ years of technical experience in Oil & Gas operations/technical management positions • Proven communications and management skills including the ability to negotiate with joint venture partners and shareholder management representatives. • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of Oil & Gas operations from the actual extraction of the natural gas through the transportation and processing operations. • A solid understanding of down hole oil and gas production operations • A good understanding of Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) business Skills • Good interpersonal relations including both diplomacy and tenacity • The ability to work in a loosely defined but broad reaching environment with multiple reporting relationships • The ability to translate technical issues to understandable terms so all interested parties have a full, clear understanding of the issues. • A solid understanding of the Economics of large scale, multi billion dollar projects • Experience working with Russian companies and in the Russian environment as well as familiarity with the complexities of the management of state owned companies is highly recommended • Good command of the English language • Native/fluent Russian language • Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills for Board level audiences as well as other shareholder and the financial community |
