Description of Technical Interface Manager |
Main Job Function: • To manage and co-ordinate project technical interfaces between multiple work packages/contractors, drilling and reservoir engineering to ensure: compliance with schedule, consistent design basis and data set, overall design consistency and integrity. • To ensure a cost effective integration between different packages/contractors and between surface and subsurface facilities activities. • Interface responsibility definition. • Technical integrity of interfaces. • Effective interface management and control including their relevant activities, facilitating the traceability of agreements and changes, if any. • To assure technical cooperation in the team and with contractors in order to minimize technical and economical risks. Key Responsibility Areas: • Liaising with all technical managers in order to assure the alignment and consistency of technical designs • Assuring interface status reports (including progress status and identification of concerns and highlight areas). • Managing meetings, as necessary, between different contractors in order to reduce technical and economical risks, negotiating the best resolution of interface discrepancy, if any. • Acting as project manager deputy providing support to ongoing activities. |

Candidate Specifications: • Relevant degree • Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas Industry • Several years of coordination activities in project team • Have completed courses in some of the following areas: Management skills advanced - Negotiation basic course - communications advanced course - Project management advanced course - Oil&Gas surface production facilities course. • Knowledge in the following areas is considered a strong advantage: Drilling Activities - Completion Activities - Commissioning - Start Up - E&P SW Use & test: Use of specialist SW, Evaluation of PSC, Economics Planning and Control, Cost estimating/budgeting/cost analysis/control, Defining of Contract Strategy, Variations and Claim Resolution, Contract Negotiations & Management, Contractor's Documentation Review & Approval, Specific suppliers and contractors market knowledge, Tender technical evaluation. Project Management process, Suppliers qualification methodology and techniques, Feed-back development and diffusion, Technical audit and Design Review, Work team management methodology, "Internal client" organization process, Documentation management - Mooring Design: Mooring Design - Plant Design: Utilities Design, Electric.& Instrum.& Telecom Design, Piping Design, Power Generation Plants Design, Revamping and Upgrading Plants, Contractor's Documentation - Construction & Installation: FAT Testing, Integration Testing, Installation , Control system knowledge – Production System Design : Production System Design , Oil & Gas Processes & Facilities, Production system engineering - Process Engineering: Process Design, Process Simulation, Process Review, Oil and Gas process treatment, Process optimization/simulation SW-program – Project Management: Project Feasibility, HR Project Management, Project Planning, Risk analysis, Cost control - Budgeting, Project Management methodologies and techniques, Risk Management. |
