Description of Technical Sales Manager

Responsibilities:
• To deliver new and profitable business in Algeria.
• To provide technical sales support to Clients and The country’s operation teams.
• To ensure that appropriate technical solutions are developed to satisfy Client’s requirements whilst maximizing company product line and expertise.
• To provide the right technical input to enable appropriate sales strategies to be developed.
• To measure and report on business development activities.
• To ensure that the Company’s HSE, quality and technical standards

Principal Accountabilities:
• To provide first line specialist and technical liaison with Clients and Company’s operations and product development departments.
• To identify opportunities for technology based new business and develop appropriate strategies for delivering these in conjunction with the Business Development Manager.
• The preparation of tenders and their associated commercial evaluations and business cases.
• Through close liaison with the Operations Managers and their teams, assist in the delivery of new technology to our client base.
• Ensure the flow of information across Operations teams and Company Product Lines and cross regions.
• Establish regular liaison with clients. Support Operations teams in driving improvements and opportunities for increasing revenue.
• Collaborate with Clients in technology initiatives for enhancing performance and improving our margins.
• Focal point for Client technical audits.

Skills required for Technical Sales Manager

• Should possess an Engineering Degree/Diploma with 5 to 10 years of experience in technical sales and service related to Drilling and Well field services.
• Also the incumbent should possess good business acumen,
commercial awareness and a bias for identifying and pursuing business opportunities and Management skills in the following:
-Project planning
-Resource co-ordination
-Contract administration
-Budgeting
-Preparation of business cases
-Performance reporting
-Setting objectives and direction
Remarks Candidates who speak Arabic and French will be preferred.
